I'm 32, live in Edinburgh in a women's housing co-op, and for kicks I'm into pottering round the garden, chilled nights of backgammon, and motorbikes - riding them only, not mending or talking about them!

I've been self employed for 3+ years, delivering a variety of services to the more-than-profit sector: www.creatingconnection.org. My energies go into activities that help build sustainable empowered communities - in many shapes and forms; from organising events, delivering training, research and evaluation work, and of course, taking time to make those special connections between people...

I've travelled around this fair landscape more than many do, mostly climbing back in my 'youth'. This lead to an early career in outdoor and environmental education, project management and work with people from all sorts of backgrounds. This fed an insight into institutions, charities, systems, etc that build monoliths and cost a lot for any kind of mild social change impact.

I've been around the world for a time, have seen a lot of things, and have got perspectives and a global context - and decided my home country needed my energy, perspective and values.

I studied and MSc in Human Ecology and am now threading my life's experiences and skills together to create The Melting Pot - similar to The Hub in London - a place to inspire, support and resource social pioneers to create solutions for social change.
