Matthew Farmer

Blogger profile

Matthew was born in London, grew up in Guernsey and lives in West Wales. He is such a believer in the power of the developing world to challenge and provide positive, life-changing experiences that he runs an organisation called Adopt-a-Business that sends people into the developing world as part of their own learning and development. Naturally therefore the opportunity to join the India Learning journey was too good to miss despite it meaning 16 days away from his fiancée, Sam and their two kids Maddie (2) and Gabriel (4 months).

Up to now, Matthew's company's focus has been on working with corporate clients such as HBOS by sending their high-potential managers on 4-week assignments with organisations in India. However Matthew will use the learning journey to explore other possibilities.

Happiest when visiting places and dealing with people, Matthew has traveled in India, Nepal, SE Asia and Central America and spent two years living in Barcelona studying for an MBA. He also has a degree in Psychology from Cardiff.

When not attending to work and family (which admittedly doesn't leave much remaining time just now), Matthew loves to play golf, scuba dive and follow the fortunes of Liverpool Football Club.
