Sarah is the Director of Ventures for UnLtd, the Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs which uses the income from a €145 million (£100 million) endowment granted by the Millennium Commission to seed fund and support social entrepreneurs to develop and grow initiatives for social change. UnLtd Ventures is the in-house consultancy division, providing a range of hands-on support, advice and networking opportunities for outstanding social entrepreneurs. Support focuses on those individuals whose organisations have high potential to deliver significant social impact, are financially sustainable and able to grow to scale. UnLtd Ventures is also actively involved in social investment and provides investment readiness as well as a financial brokerage type services for a number of growth stage social enterprises and social businesses.

Sarah has over 15 years leadership experience spanning both the private and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining UnLtd, Sarah ran her own boutique consultancy providing strategic and change management expertise to clients including Tesco, Cable & Wireless and BAA. Whilst a Senior Executive at Accenture (1998-2003), Sarah took a lead role in establishing the not-for-profit Accenture Development Partnerships, defining its initial strategy and securing its first charter clients. She also acted as an interim Director at Crisis UK during 2005 where she streamlined the operations of an innovative centre for the homeless. Sarah is a business mentor for the Princes Trust and is on the Board of Directors of WomanKind Worldwide. She also has considerable international development field experience having spent 8 months as a VSO volunteer in rural Pakistan supporting a grass-roots NGO focused on women’s development and micro-finance. She holds an MBA from INSEAD.
