Siobhan Crossan

About the blogger:
My name is Siobhan Crossan and I am a 40 yr old mother of 2 teenage children. Ciara my daughter is 19yrs old and Gary my son is 15yrs old (he will actually celebrate his 16th birthday on 15th November 2006 while I am in India). I live with my partner Cesar (who is Brasilian) and we have been together for almost 6 years now - although it seems much longer........I don't know if that's good or bad!!

We currently live in Northern Ireland in the small town of Portadown in the borough of Craigavon - I actually live on the infamous ‘Garvaghy Road' which has seen its fair share of troubles over the past 30+ yrs, although things are pretty settled here at the moment. I think this maybe because the people in this area are beginning to realise that conflict never resolves any issues.

I have in the past also lived and worked in London and my daughter was actually born in London in 1987 and we continued to live there until 1990 when we returned to Northern Ireland.

I work full-time with my partner on our project which involves help and advice for migrant workers (mainly European and Eastern European migrants currently working and living in Northern Ireland). This has proven to be very rewarding and I have made many friends from across Europe who I intend to keep in contact with. I am very excited about the trip to India and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone.
