From a background in teaching and freelance radio work, James Greenshields founded the Prison Radio Project in November 2001. Prisoners are learning new skills and challenging misconceptions that offenders donŐt have anything to offer society. The Prison Radio Project has established a pilot radio station within Wandsworth Prison and has funding to develop an outreach programme for prisoners to further develop their skills once they are released. JamesŐ Level 2 Award is being used to develop and refine his operational model, create a replication model and rollout strategy to reach more UK prisons, and allow James to develop and expand existing partnerships.
