Introduction
Since 2005, UnLtd has been running unique learning journeys to India. These take groups of extraordinary leaders, including a number of UnLtd's most promising Award Winners, on 12-day expeditions to learn first-hand how social entrepreneurs are tackling some of the country's most acute social and environmental challenges.
The journeys are designed to enable participants to challenge their thinking, learn non-traditional innovation and leadership strategies, increase the impact they make in their work, and directly contribute to social change.
Upcoming Learning Journeys
Following the success of UnLtd’s International Learning Journeys since 2005, we are pleased to announce that our next India Learning Journey will take place from
1 to 12 March 2009 in Tamil Nadu in Southern India.
Participants
As in previous years, UnLtd will be taking a select group of its most promising Award Winners on this 12-day expedition to learn first hand how social entrepreneurs in India are tackling the country’s most acute social and environmental challenges. The journey will be preceded by a two-day induction in the UK for the same group.
The aims of the journeys are to enable you to develop as a social entrepreneur and make the greatest possible impact through your work. The expedition will encompass interactive site visits to some of the region's foremost NGOs and social businesses. They will also include workshops, ideas-generating sessions and networking opportunities.
Participants will be selected on the basis of demonstrating a strong interest in social entrepreneurship, on their potential to contribute to the journey, and on being able to articulate a coherent rationale as to how they would use the experience to benefit their work and community.
