We know that people in every community have the talent and potential to find solutions to social problems. We have partnered with UBS to launch East End Connect in Hackney and Barking & Dagenham. We have supported 34 social entrepreneurs in these areas to start, grow and scale social ventures tackling challenging local social issues.
East End Connect builds on the momentum and impact of Hackney Connect, which the ventures we supported helped 175 people into employment and benefitted more than 2,000 people around Hackney. We want to continue to help people with enterprising ideas develop the confidence, skills and connections to make their ideas for social change a reality.
Our East End Connect programme has come to an end. We currently have funding and support opportunities for:
Our boosted core awards programme is open for ideas at any stage.
You can apply for Thrive, our social accelerator, or for early stage funding and support.
We're accepting award applications for projects in Brighton, Dundee, South Wales Valleys, North Staffs, or from one of these 19 Big Local Areas.
All applications are made through our application portal, and you can learn more about our support offer here.
New funding opportunities will be opening up in Autumn 2020 for England-based social entrepreneurs, so watch this space. We are committed to 50% of our awards going to Black, Asian and minority ethnic social entrepreneurs, and/or disabled social entrepreneurs across all of our funding programmes.
If you're not based in East London we can still help you. We provide three levels of early stage support, designed to match your growth as a social entrepreneur. Many of the people we support progress through different stages of awards as their venture grows.
