Selling Social is the UK's first dedicated social enterprise eCommerce start-up programme for early-stage social entrepreneurs, delivered in partnership with eBay to help social entrepreneurs get into and thrive in the digital marketplace.
The programme was launched in 2021, and will run over 3 years, supporting at least 200 social entrepreneurs to define their product market fit, establish the right sales channels for their business, and provides specialist eCommerce support to those with the biggest potential to scale online.
Social entrepreneurs coming through the programme will also be welcomed to apply for eBay for Change, an online marketplace promoting products that drive social impact, where they will receive additional support from eBay to help them succeed.
Current award winners can join Selling Social at any time during their award period by speaking to their Social Entrepreneur Support Manager, who will discuss whether or not the programme is right for them, and support them with the questionnaire and interview stages.
At eBay, they believe that business can be a powerful force for positive change and with the scale of their marketplace, they have an important role to play in ensuring they help build a future economy that works for everyone. The eBay for Change programme aims to support social entrepreneurs and create jobs in marginalised and vulnerable communities by supporting the growth of the social enterprise sector.
